Here’s a quick rundown on how we performed our experiments!
The experiment was split into two categories: computer-generated music, and commercially available music. For the computer-generated category, each trial consisted of the participant listening to the available music on the interamusi website. This website contained two categories of music: modern and classic. Each category had three different types of songs, known as calm, stimulus, and focus. All participants listened to each of the six songs for about 6 minutes.
Classical music was used as our commercially available category. Each participant listened to all three of the different music tempos for approximately 6 minutes, as seen in the graph above.
